Prior to joining QOMPLX, he served as Chief Underwriting Officer at Qatar Re. He began his career as a graduate trainee at Jardine Matheson (JIB) and worked for ten years at Aon Re UK as CEO. He also held the position of Chief Executive Officer at JLT Towers from 2012–2015, and has held board-level appointments in reinsurance and banking subsidiaries.

Bharat comes from 17 years in the Insurance industry working and leading actuarial teams in the reinsurance sector. He headed up the reserving function at XL Re and then moved to Talbot to run the Treaty and Aviation pricing function. He has significant experience in creating and embedding innovative models into the pricing and capital modelling functions.
Most recently, Ian was a Management Consultant in the technology and analytics practice of Deloitte MCS Ltd. leading transformation teams for clients in the capital markets, insurance and banking sectors. For the previous decade Ian’s experience has focused on large-scale technology, business and operations change programmes for investment, retail and commercial banks, life and general insurers, and reinsurers. Ian holds a BA from Oxford University and a master’s degree from King’s College London. He has lived and worked in North America, Europe and is currently based in London.
Before QOMPLX, Steve had tenures at several reinsurance brokers (Beach Re, TigerRisk, Willis Re, and R K Carvill) where he led catastrophe modeling/analytics teams and as the Director of Research and Development for ACE Tempest Re in Bermuda. Steve developed the Carvill Hurricane Index to trade hurricane risk on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Previously in the re/insurance War and Terrorism underwriting team at Pembroke, Lloyd’s syndicate 4000. Also worked in the Cargo, and M&A (W&I) teams prior to specialising in terrorism. Max cycled around the world solo before moving into the insurance market, prior to which he worked in the oil and gas sector whilst studying Mechanical Engineering.
